Topical Interest Group Strands

Thirty-four Topical Interest Groups (TIGs), and a French-language review team, will be coordinating proposal reviews for Evaluation 2005. Topical Interest Groups are sub-groups of the American Evaluation Association comprised of people with a common interest in an area of evaluation theory, practice, or the profession. Each TIG assembles a small team of reviewers to review proposals within its area of interest. Canadian representatives will be added to most TIG review teams, at the discretion of CES, for the 2005 joint conference.

The TIGs are the primary reviewing bodies for proposals submitted in English for Evaluation 2005. Those submitted in French will be reviewed by the French-language review team. TIGs bring topical expertise to the review process. They examine proposals within their focus area considering the proposal type, the quality of the work each represents, and the ways in which each will add to the breadth and depth of the program.
